I am in the process of creating an "ABBA concerts / ABBA tours" section. The scope of these pages will be the cities and countries where ABBA did one or more concerts during their tours. My aim is to include the international tours of 1975, 1977, 1979 and 1980, but also the Swedish concerts from the pre-Eurovision-fame era.
I really thought that I could track down the information I need by myself, but slowly it became clear that this is a mission impossible. I have concluded that I desperately need help from ABBA fans across the globe.
After searching for weeks on Google, Wikipedia, specialist concert hall sites, world stadium sites, city-sites it turns out that some locations simply don't exist on the internet.
The problem here is that some halls simply are demolished in the past 30 years. Or they have been given a different name, sometimes even several times.
So from many venues I simply can't find anything. And I am sick of searching the internet even more. I started this project in February and still I don't have all information needed. That's why I put a "request for information" on line. I just need that extra information from other fans to complete this project.
I have also searched hard for pictures of original ABBA concert tickets. Nothing there as well. I would have thought I would find dozens of them on the internet, but unfortunately this seems even more difficult. Oddly enough this seems to be an unwritten part of ABBA history on the internet.
So another request was put online. I even created a special email address for the occasion.
So if you have any information, please, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. All the help you can give me is highly appreciated. See also www.abbaplaza.com/helpneeded
One last thing. In case you want to share this request with other ABBA fans, please feel free to do so and forward this message to other fans.
Thanks in advance for all the information you will undoubtedly send me.
